What did the romans do for us?

The romans uses a system of letters called Roman numerals to represent numbers.
The Roman used seven letters to represnt seven different numbers.

How many years are there in a millennium?

We use different measurement of time. These measurements divide time into short and long period.

If i ask what do you use to measure time? I use a clock. But when we speak about time, we refer to a day, a week, a month, a season, a year, a decade, a century and a millennium.

What do archeologist study? 


Archeologist study artefacts to learn about the past. Excuse, do you know what does artefacts mean? An artefact is a man-made object, when we refer to History, artefacts are old objects.

What do you know about your country? Who were the first people in Spain? How did they live? What did they do? ….. 
Do you know  who can help us to know about everything that happened in our country long time ago? There are people who study the past. They are: 

  • A historian is a person who studies and writes about the human past.
  •  A paleontologist is a scientist who studies fossils. 
  •  An archeologist studies the past by using artefacts.
  • An anthropologist  studies the past by looking at the culture. 
  • A geologist studies the past by examining rocks and minerals to identify climate and other patterns of the past.






In this unit, you will become a historian and  investigate the history of your local area or country.
 To do this, you will:

  • learn artefacts and how to find them.
  • learn about different types of historical resources.
  • understand the different measurements of time.

Silent letters for kids

Silent letters are letters that are not pronounced in words, even though they exist in the spelling. Auxiliary and dummy are the two major groups of silent letters. ... 
Silent letters include b, c, e, h, k, n, p, s, u, and w, while silent letter combinations include 'gh'.

How many silent letters are there in English language?
There are over 90 words in English that start with a silent letter.

English  Plurals 

English plural nouns. 

In order to change a singular noun to its plural form in English, you usually add "s". For example, the plural of book is books. The plural of table is tables. These are regular plurals.
But there are many nouns which don't follow this rule. For example the plural of fish is fish. The plural of tooth is teeth. These are irregular plurals

Regular plurals:

While many plural nouns follow this rule, the spelling sometimes differ.

Irregular plurals:

There are several nouns that have irregular plural forms.

Plurals formed in this way are sometimes called irregular plurals or mutated (or mutating) plurals.
  • more than one child = children

  • more than one man = men
  • more than one person = people
  • more than one goose = geese
  • more than one mouse = mice
  • more than one barracks = barracks
  • more than one deer = deer

A path is a route that's meant for walking.
